Urban Tales-Calendar/Book from Zazzle.com

I am so proud of my new 2012 Calendar line: "Urban Tales", calendar/book. I features parts of startings, and my paintings of my characters, from my blog. I blog under the name, "rixxie, on www.writing.com. I had self-published my collection of short stories, "Tales & Myths of the Innercity". I was not pleased at all, the publishing house did a bad jot. I, not to be efeated published this the first of its kind, a calendar/book. It would make a lovely collectors item, for anyone, liking family based urban, cool stories. I wanted stories that would foster literacy, so I used simple words. I discovered through my volunteer pfojects, most learn to read material is third grade level. I am so very happy to present book one of this series. Three calendars will, continue the series over the next three years. Thanks to all my readers and fans of my blogs, and urban store you encourage me, too.

Speaking of killer eggplant, this is one of my favorite recipes:

Eggplant

Start with a nice fresh medium size eggplant, I like deep purple and shiny eggplant. Cut it into about sic pieces. Stir fry it in a pan, sprayed with pam non-stick spray. Add just a few dots of butter for flavor, not enough to be greay.Stir fry it with strips of yellow and red bell peppers about four slices of each. Add immitation bacon bits, or real bacon bits if you like. Cook over medium heat, until soft, sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Sprinkle a little chili powder, Remove from heat, place on lined serving dish. Serve with your favorite meat.

Talking about a funky cabbage head, while your sitting there in your funny cabbage tee, cook this. This is the way I like my cabbage, sitting around in my cabbage head t-shirt, and listening to the Blues:

1 washed large head green cabbage

4 baby carrots

1 ounce imitation bacon bits

1 red pepper pod

1 jalapeno pepper

Chop your cabbage into eight parts, after washing it well. Put in a large cooker, barely cover it with water. Add pepper and salt, and garlic powder to taste. Throw in a half red pepper, half jalapeno, a half teaspoon olive oil. Add the washed carrots, bacon bits, cook until tender on medium heat. Donot overcook. Serve with sweet ice tea and lemon, a bed of rice ad corn muffins.

                                                      SPOOK-TACK-ULAR PARTY PUNCH!

This is a nice festive, colorful party punch you can add to, and enhance:

1 Can frozen 2 qt. size frozen tropical punch

1 12 ounce bottle or can of Welches grape juice

I  lb can fruit cocktail

1 12 ounce can 7-up

1 lemon

Make the fruit punch according to instructions, in a large pitcher. You then add half cup of 7-up, stir the punch. Fill odd shaped small containers, such as jello molds with the purple grape juice and a few tablespoons of 7-up. You add a couple tablespoons of fruitcocktail to the, grape juice. Place the small containers in the freezer, let set. Keep the tropical punch chilled, until the molds,(ice cubes), are ready. When the ice moldsare frozen, pour the tropical punch in a fancy punch bowl. Cut the lemon into slices, squeeze a little, in the bowl and float the frozen molds, and lemon slices,
